Rondo
DEFINITION
Term referring to a form of composition in which the first section recurs after the second section is performed in an A-B-A style. Also, a rondo could have more sections, arranged: A-B-A-B-A, or A-B-A-C-A, etc. This form is found especially in compositions of the Baroque and Classical eras. a musical form in which a certain section returns repeatedly, interspersed with other sections: ABACA is a typical structurea form in which a passage of music is repeated between other, differing sections. A typical rondo comprises the pattern abacada, etc. in which "a" is the recurrent section. The rondo form has been employed by many great composers
